DEZIANI’S RIGHT HANDY MAN: HARUNA MOMOH MUST GO TO JAIL.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission should investigate, prosecute and imprison Mr. Haruna Momoh the immediate past managing director of the the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a midstream subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). If Mr. HarunaMomoh escapes being sent to jail, then President Buhari would have failed in his fight against corruption as it is no secret that Mr. Haruna Momoh and Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke are the two most corrupt individuals in the six years of the Jonathan administration. Mr. Momoh was one of the major figures behind the corruption ridden activities of Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Here are some of the corrupt dealings of Mr. Haruna, past Managing Director of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company.
1. Price Waterhouse Coopers, a forensic audit firm hired by the Federal Government of Nigeria, in their audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, totally and in very strong terms indicted Mr. Haruna Momoh and the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC). The report made it clear that Mr. Momoh swindled Nigerians to the tune of $205 Million in a Kerosene subsidy scam supervised by the PPMC. Recall that the former CBN governor, the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II, reported a missing $18.5 Billion of NNPC’s earnings. A closer investigation will reveal the role of Mr. Momoh in the scam. Nigerians will be more than happy to understand how a single individual can embezzle funds meant for an entire nation.
2. Mr. Momoh grossly recorded the highest level of pilfering in Nigeria’s petroleum industry, especially as he was giving the freest of hands to operate the way he liked. As an accomplice to Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke, he plotted several shady schemes and oil deals that adversely affected Nigerians and increased poverty in the land. While millions of Nigerians went o bed hungry and unemployed, Mr. Haruna Momoh became a proud owner of a $2 Billion fortune with houses at Swiss Cottage London, St. John’s Wood London, New York, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Dubai, Calabar, Oghara
Mr. Momoh owned several private depots over which he manipulated the NNPC and ensured that it patronize him. One of the quickest findings that should be done is to conduct a search on the Abuja Houses where there weree over 100 brand new cars given to him by marketers as kickbacks for several shady deals
Most of Haruna Momoh’s assets are in the names of his children, and wife; Hakeem, Habib, Saradatu, Helen (wife). They are presently living large in a known address in the United Kingdom, living off the wealth of over 200 million Nigerians.
3. From 2011 up to 2015, Mr. Haruna Momoh demanded and pocket N50 per litre of Kerosene and petroleum product from marketers all in the name of support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s elections. The common man paid the price as the marketers had no choice but to add the excess to the overall retail price. Mr. Momoh must be made to refund every little kobo. Mr. Momoh also demanded and took the sum of One Million Dollars ($1m) from brief case companies and allowed them to lift crude, in the same manner that the younger brother to Mrs. Diezani, Mr. Timi Agama, owner of Nezor SA and Tridax SA companies was unduly favoured to lift and he benefited a lot from the illicit deals of petroleum subsidy.
4. There should be a probe in to the activities and several bank accounts of NEZOR SA and TRIDAX SA as it will reveal more than enough on the role of Mr. Haruna Momoh. As a matter of fact, those two companies were the most prominent in the so called “Cabal” in the Nigerian Petroleum Industry.
We equally use this medium to call for Invitation and investigation of all those who served under Mr. Momoh as Depot Managers and sales Representatives in the various refineries across the Nation. We have been able to reach out to some Depot Managers and sale Representatives in the Refineries who are ready to testify.
5.Mr. Momoh stole Nigeria blind with the “Crude Swap” which has been adjudged the most fraudulent deal in the Petroleum Sector. A prompt and swift investigation will confirm these.
